Nursing administrator charged with exploitation

Posted: Updated:

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt says he's filed charges against a nursing home administrator who allegedly took money from a trust fund for nursing home residents.

Pruitt said Tuesday that 67-year-old Roberta Donaldson of Enid is charged with four counts of financial exploitation.

Donaldson is the administrator at Willow Haven Nursing Home in Tonkawa. She's charged with four counts of financial exploitation.

Online court records do not list an attorney for Donaldson. Pruitt says Donaldson told investigators she had permission from the families to use the money in the trust funds.

The charges in Kay County District Court allege Donaldson purchased furniture for the nursing home with more than $1,600 taken from a fund that held money in trust for the personal use of the residents.
