Amarillo hosts 39th Annual National Jr. Limousin Show

Amarillo, TX - For the first time since 2011, Amarillo is hosting the National Limousin show.

This week marks the return of the National show to Amarillo as exhibitors and breeders from all over the country gather to show off their prized cattle.

More than 190 exhibitors and their families will bring around 450 head of cattle to the event. This show is not only important to the city for it's economic benefits, it's essential to all the participants for a variety of reasons.

All the animals are bred and owned by the exhibitors and all the participants have been in Amarillo since last Friday.

Today, the showmanship show begins at 8 am, followed by the team fitting competition at 2 pm and a quiz bowl will conclude today's events at 5 pm.

The concluding awards banquet will recognize participants achievements through NALJA and spotlight the associations purpose, which is to develop knowledgeable, motivated beef industry leaders while promoting the Limousin breed through fellowship, leadership, and education.

All the events are taking place at the Tri State Fairgrounds.
