MTK Memorial Run raises awareness

Amarillo, TX - Finding a cure for childhood cancer was the reason why hundreds came together Saturday morning.

The MTK Memorial Run honors the life of Madison Knebusch who passed away at the age of 16.

Her family was at the event not only to raise awareness, but to thank the community for all their help and support.

"Shannon and I were going through our journey with Madison the people of Amarillo steeped up and helped us out a lot," Levi Knebusch, Madison's father told us.

"It's our way to try and give back to the community that gave so much to us in our time of need, and if I could help one person that just makes it worth while," he said.

This was the second year for the MTK Memorial Run. Last year, over $6,000 was raised to help find a cure for childhood cancer.
