Man hides in neighbor's garage when officers serve warrants

LAWTON, Okla._A police chase took an odd turn when the suspect was found hiding in someone else's garage.

Officers were attempting to serve Gary Weeks with two county warrants when he fled. Police chased Weeks but lost sight of him after ran north from his home near the intersection of 29th Street and “G” Avenue. While searching for Weeks, a woman walked up to officers with concerns that someone was hiding in her garage.

Officers were able to get in and found Weeks hiding on a peg board in the rafters. After several orders for Weeks to show his hands, officers tased the suspect in his lower back.

Weeks then climbed down and surrendered. His original warrants were for driving with a suspended license and for failure to comply with a court order.
