Man arrested following fight outside Lawton bar

LAWTON, Okla._ The victim of a fight outside a Lawton bar Saturday night ended up bloody, police say. 

Witnesses told police that Derrick Whittet beat up another man causing his mouth and nose to bleed.

The incident happened just after 8 p.m. at Glen’s Lounge on SW 11th Street.

Police tried arresting Whittet on disorderly conduct charges, but he resisted arrest. Police were forced to tase a combative Whittet to the ground.

He was booked in the city jail for resisting police. The man he beat up chose not to press charges.
