Police arrest double shooting suspect

LAWTON, Okla._A suspect in a double shooting at a Lawton apartment earlier this month has been arrested and charged.

Police said Darriss Martin is responsible for the July 5 shooting that sent a man and a woman to the hospital. The shooting happened at a Fourth of July party that got out of hand at an apartment complex near 67th Street and Cache Road.

Eyewitnesses told police that Martin was the shooter and they were even able to give them a video of Martin arguing with one of the victims just before it happened. Last week, Martin was arrested for an unrelated complaint and was later charged with the shooting.

H is being held on a $75,000 bond and his preliminary hearing is set for late August.
