New charges filed against woman for alleged robberies

LAWTON, Okla._Additional charges have been filed for a Lawton woman arrested for her alleged role in a string of armed robberies.

Less than two weeks ago, Nijee Johnson was arrested for holding two women at gunpoint outside of a bar on north Sheridan Road and stealing a purse from one of them. While police were responding to that robbery, they were called out to a shooting at 32nd Street and “J” Avenue where a woman was shot in the neck. Johnson is now charged with shooting with the intent to kill and assault with a dangerous weapon for that crime.

She is being held on a $25,000 bond for the new charge.
