Congressmen hosting town hall meetings in SW Oklahoma Tuesday

Lawton- Outgoing U.S. Senator Tom Coburn will be in southwest Oklahoma Tuesday as part of his final series of town hall meetings.

His first stop will be in Altus. The meeting there will be at 10 a.m. in the Western Oklahoma State College Herschal H. Crow Fine Arts Auditorium. He'll make his way to Lawton for a meeting at 1 p.m. It'll be held in the Cameron University CETES Building. Coburn says speaking with Oklahomans about the issues that are important to them is a highlight of his current position.The senator announced earlier this year that he would resign with two years left on his term. He has been in office since 2004.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

Congressman Tom Cole will also be in our area for a town hall meeting Tuesday. He'll be talking with folks in Frederick at noon. His meeting will be at the Banc First Conference Center on Main Street. He says he'll provide an update on issues facing the fourth district and answer questions from people in the audience.
