Imagination Playground unveiled

LAWTON, Okla_  Lawton kids of all ages got a first test of a new playground at the Annual Back to School Bash Saturday.
Fit Kids of Southwest Oklahoma was awarded the Imagination Playground from Blue Cross and Blue Shield and KaBOOM!.
The playground is designed to help kids be both active and creative.
Allowing them to build what ever their mind wants.
Kyle Rogers, Program Coordinator for Fit Kids, says in a way this helps kids build their own masterpieces.

"One of the little girls we were playing with was creating an engine.  So she was building an engine to a car.  Another one was putting pieces together nd he had kind of a creative space ship.  So you can see that their own imaginations are different, and they create their own thing," Rogers said.

The group will take the playground to schools, classes, and community events.

Also unveiled at the back to school bash was a new Caring Van that will serve Southwest Oklahoma by delivering immunizations to children at no costs.
