Man arrested after scrapping Sonic slush machine

LAWTON, Okla._A Lawton man has been arrested after stealing a Sonic slush machine and selling it as scrap metal.

Richard Prosser, a Sonic employee at the 61st Street and Cache Road location, took a $17,000 slush machine and was supposed to take it to storage. The machine never showed up at storage. When police found Prosser he told them he scrapped it at Lawton Recycling, but had permission from the general manager.

Prosser was arrested on grand larceny charges and is being held on a $5,000 bond.
