District Attorney accepts charges against Wagstaff
LAWTON, Okla._The child rape case against Comanche County's emergency management director is moving forward.
Clint Wagstaff still has not been formally charged but the Comanche County District Attorney's office accepted two charges against him. Wagstaff was arrested Wednesday after the parents of a 14-year-old boy reportedly found inappropriate conversations on a social media site between Wagstaff and their son. Police said there was enough evidence to hold Wagstaff on a rape complaint.
The boy's father says he believes the two may have been in contact for as long as six months.
As far as Wagstaff's emergency management position, Deputy Director Chloe Lewis has been named interim director for the time being.
