Man with felony warrants leads police on chase

LAWTON, Okla._ What started as a normal traffic stop ended with a man surrendering to Lawton police after taking them on a short chase.

Authorities say they were trying to pull over Christopher Tabor just after 5:00 p.m. Thursday night near Fifth Street and Washington Avenue for a brake light that was out. Tabor pulled over and reportedly gave the officer false information. While the officer was checking on the information that was given, Tabor took off.

Tabor led police more than three miles before turning into the Pioneer Park neighborhood off of Rogers Lane. Tabor eventually gave up and pulled into a driveway to surrender.

He had four warrants out for his arrest, including three felonies, according to police.
