Judge throws out Ray's murder charge

LAWTON, Okla._The woman accused of enabling abuse that led to her son's death will not face murder charges.

A Comanche County District Judge threw out the charge after Denise Ray's defense argued a murder charge would be a case of double jeopardy. The judge said Ray was convicted of enabling child abuse in September 2013 after jurors found her guilty of allowing her husband, Lancey Ray, to beat her ten-year-old son Malik to death.

She is currently serving a ten-year sentence for that crime.
