Taco Bell robbery suspect behind bars

Amarillo, TX - One man is behind bars after police say he robbed a Taco Bell.

Officers responded to a call at the restaurant on Ross and I-40 Sunday afternoon just after 5:00.

Police say 29 year old Mario Felix Macias threatened employees with a gun and took money from their registers.

Officers found Macias in a nearby dumpster with a 45 caliber handgun, a knife and cash in his socks.

Macias was booked into jail and charged with aggravated robbery.

    One person was taken to the hospital - after running their car into the side of a building this afternoon. It happened around 2 p.m. at the corner of Northwest 55th Street and Cache Road. Lawton Police tell us the driver was an elderly woman, who hit the gas pedal instead of the brake. She had some minor injuries. No one else was hurt.
