Multiple fire crews battle Cache grass fire

CACHE, Okla._Crews are searching for hot spots Saturday night after they put out a large grass fire sparked in the Cache area.

Crews from 5 separate agencies were called out to the blaze near Paint Road and Lee after it grew rapidly in just a matter of minutes around 7:30 this evening.

Crews worked quickly just north of the site near Gore Boulevard, after the fire grew very quickly, putting neighboring homes at immediate risk.

In all, around forty acres were burned. It took crews nearly an hour to get the flames completely out.

Several witnesses say they heard fireworks in the area shortly before the flames got out of control, but officials say they're still investigating the cause. They say they'll monitor the area throughout the night to make sure flames don't spark back up.
