Altus man arrested after allegedly threatening cab driver and passengers

ALTUS, Okla._An Altus man has been arrested for pointing a shotgun at a cab driver and two passengers who were in the vehicle.

According to the police report, Jeffery Taft was arguing with another person in the cab after arriving at his home. The report states Taft got out of the vehicle and pulled a shotgun from his personal car. Taft then allegedly pointed the gun at the three people in the cab. Officers said Taft was unsteady on his feet smelled of alcohol.

He remains in the Jackson County Jail on a couple of complaints including firearm possession while under the influence of alcohol.
