Police arrest man in connection to Wells Fargo robberies

AMARILLO - One man is under arrest in connection to both Wells Fargo bank robberies that occurred in the past two weeks.

Jon-Michael Murray, 28, was at a local Burger King Wednesday morning where on-call police officers matched his 2007 Dodge van to the description of the vehicle in the police report. Police say Murray himself also fit the description in the police report.

Police secured a search warrant for the suspect's car and apartment where investigators found evidence that linked Murray to the Wells Fargo bank robbery at Georgia St. on August 27 and Washington St. on September 2.

The two cases were reviewed by the 47th District Attorney's Office. They accepted two charges of robbery against Murray.

Murray was booked into the Potter County Jail.
