Small-town kid shines for Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State freshman wide receiver James Washington comes from tiny Stamford, Texas, a Class A school near Abilene. Despite his humble beginnings, Washington has proven he's ready for the Big 12 stage as a true freshman. In four games, Washington has four receptions, three have which have gone for touchdowns.

Washington's biggest game thus far came in the Cowboys' 45-35 win on Thursday over Texas Tech. The 6'0, 193-pound speedster caught three passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns. The Pokes are hoping for even more from Washington in the coming weeks as conference play heats up.
