COPY-Heritage Hall beats Cushing in Oklahoma 3A final

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Connor McGinnis ran for two touchdowns to help Heritage Hall defeat Cushing 37-14 Friday night in the Oklahoma Class 3A state football final.

McGinnis rushed for 167 yards and passed for 68 to help coach Andy Bogert win his final game. Terrell Love added two touchdowns for the Chargers, who led 27-7 at halftime.

Cushing's Ian Jones threw a 44-yard touchdown pass to Blake Burden, and Guy Parker had a 76-yard touchdown run.

The final was delayed a week because Oklahoma City Douglass appealed its quarterfinal loss to Locust Grove after an improperly enforced penalty with 64 seconds remaining cost it the go-ahead touchdown. A judge put the semifinal on hold so he could decide whether part or all of the quarterfinal should be replayed. He eventually ruled against Douglass, and Heritage Hall defeated Locust Grove to advance.
