Convenience store robber sentenced to 12 years in prison

LAWTON, Okla._A Lawton man accused of holding up a convenience store with a knife was sentenced Monday for the crime.

Andrew Jones was ordered to spend the next 12 years in prison for first-degree armed robbery. Jones robbed the EZ GO store on 52ND and Lee Boulevard last October. The clerks were able to give a detailed description of Jones, and officers found him just a few blocks away, with the money stuffed in his pockets.

Court records show Jones' sentence was enhanced based on a prior felony conviction for burglary back in 2004.
