Thunder's Durant out indefinitely

Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant has been removed from all basketball activities, and is out indefinitely, Thunder general manager Sam Presti announced on Friday.

Durant has experienced multiple setbacks in his recovery from an October surgery to repair a Jones fracture in his right foot. The reigning NBA MVP underwent a second procedure on Feb. 22 to relieve pain and swelling in his foot, but when he returned to practice this week, the pain and swelling persisted.

Presti gave no timeline for Durant's return, saying only that when he is ready to play, he'll be on the floor. The Thunder are currently without Durant, Serge Ibaka and Enes Kanter due to injuries.

Durant has played in just 27 games this season for the Thunder, averaging 25 points and 6 rebounds per game.
