No. 25 Cameron splits double-header with No. 2 West Texas A&M

The No. 25 Cameron Aggies more than held their own with No. 2 West Texas A&M on Friday. The Aggies scored a 4-0 victory in Game 1 of  a double-header. The Buffaloes earned a split with a 4-2 in Game 2.

A big 4th inning and a career performance from senior pitcher Kelsey Watson was the difference for CU in the opener. Watson recorded a career-high 12 strikeouts in a one-hit shutout. The Cameron offense scored all four of its runs in the 4th.

It was a different story in the nightcap as West Texas A&M put up three runs in the 1st inning and another in the 2nd. Cameron responded with runs in the 4th and 7th innings, but could not complete the comeback.

CU and WTAMU will wrap up their four-game series on Saturday.
