COMANCHE, Okla_ We've learned more about Saturday's tragic wreck on U.S. Highway 81 north of Comanche that involved 13 motorcycles and killed one of the riders.

53-year-old Monty Howell died at the scene from his injuries. Five others were taken to OU Medical Center, four of them were in serious condition, and the other was listed as critical.

As of Sunday morning the rider in critical condition had improved to serious condition. Two of the riders that were in serious condition have now improved to fair.

Several other riders were treated and released at the Duncan Regional Hospital Saturday night.

The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. Saturday when the group of bikers were heading south on 81 going around a curve. Troopers say a pickup truck headed north crossed the center line, striking five motorcycles.
