Lawton man arrested for possession of child porn

LAWTON, Okla._A Lawton man was arrested following a joint effort between the Lawton Police Department and the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation that uncovered more than 100 videos of child pornography in his possession.

Wendell Robinson was arrested at his home Tuesday morning when Lawton police served a search warrant and found the computer containing the illicit videos. Robinson was read his rights and he agreed to talk to police. He admitted to downloading the child pornography on the “only working computer in his bedroom.”

A search of the home uncovered four laptops and a cell phone. A preliminary search of his computer uncovered more than 100 videos.

"It's a good thing that this individual has been apprehended and is off the streets right now," stated Detective Nancy Lombardo, Lawton Police Department.

Robinson was taken to the Lawton City Jail and booked for aggravated possession of child pornography.
