Duncan's Grove Bluegrass Festival celebrates fourth year

DUNCAN, Okla._The 4th annual Duncan's Grove Bluegrass Festival will be held in Duncan this weekend.

The music festival is at Duncan's Grove RV Park, located at 1802 E Chestnut. The six bands will start playing at noon on Friday and Saturday. Thursday, three of those bands will be playing gospel music. Master of ceremonies Joe Peach says bluegrass festivals are like nothing else he has ever experienced.

"I have always said that a bluegrass festival is one of the few places in America left you can leave your wallet on your chair with $200 in it and come back an hour later and it will still be there and the $200 will still be in your wallet. Good clean fun," said Peach.

Concessions are available, but you'll need to bring your own lawn chairs. The festival is free Thursday night, but there is an admission charge for shows on Friday and Saturday. It ends Saturday night at 10:30 p.m.
