Housekeeper attacked by knife wielding man

LAWTON, Okla._A Lawton man is accused of attacking a hotel housekeeper with a knife.

It happened just after 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Super 9 motel on Northwest Cache Road. The housekeeper told police that she was cleaning rooms when Scott Jones yelled at her and put a knife to her throat. The woman says she and Jones fell to the ground and he came at her with the knife again. This time, the woman says she kicked Jones and he ran into an open room and locked himself in.

Police were able get inside and arrest Jones. That's when they noticed he had a bloody cloth wrapped around his neck. Police were able to get Jones into handcuffs and called for EMS when it appeared Jones was about to have a seizure and was having breathing problems. Jones was taken to the hospital and has not been booked into jail as of Tuesday afternoon.

Jones is facing charges of assault with a dangerous weapon.
