Events postponed due to impending storms

LAWTON, Okla._The risk of severe weather over the weekend has rescheduled a handful of upcoming events.

The Lawton Rangers Slick Hills Trail Ride has been postponed to Sunday, May 17. They will have a short Cowboy Church service prior to departing. There is a recommended $20 donation to attend. All profits from the ride will go to Giddy Up ‘N Go, a therapeutic horseback riding program for handicapped children. Gates open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 9:15 a.m. The ride leaves at 9:30 a.m. sharp.

The 5th annual Fort Sill Polo Classic has been postponed until Sunday, May 17, at 2:00 p.m. The polo game is free to attend and is open to the public. You will, however, have to be able to obtain a Visitor's Pass. Pass information is available at

Stalling two-day auction of John Lewis' commercial real estate and antiques has been rescheduled due to the possibility of severe weather. The auction will now start on Saturday, May 16, at 10:00 a.m. The auction will start with the antiques and then proceed to the real estate.

Indiahoma's FFA banquet has been postponed until May 12 at 6:30 p.m.

Lawton Ballet Theatre's "Alice in Wonderland" has been postponed until May 10 at 3:00 p.m.
