Cameron's season ends in NCAA Regionals

The best season in the history of Cameron softball came to an end on Sunday afternoon, as the Aggies fell to Tarleton State 11-3 in six innings in the championship game of the NCAA Tournament's South Central Region.

It was Cameron's second loss in as many days to the TexAnns, as the Aggies fell behind by five runs through four innings and could never claw their way out of the early hole.

Cameron advanced to Sunday by upsetting No. 1 seed and defending national champion West Texas A&M 3-2 late Saturday night, eliminating the Lady Buffs. However, the magic of that victory didn't carry over to Sunday, as the TexAnns peppered Cameron's pitchers for 13 hits.

The Aggies finish the 2015 season with a 41-18 record, the best in program history.
