Marlow boys win 3A State Championship for second year in a row

The Marlow boys track team captured its second straight 3A State Championship on Tuesday. The Outlaws finished the meet with 98 points, easily outdistancing 2nd place Chisolm, who ended up with 67 points.

Marlow scored points in five events on Day 2. Braeden O'Dell won the 300 meter hurdles. Nathan Crowson finished 2nd in the 1600 meter run and 3rd in the 800. Hector Bullock was the runner-up in the discus, while Dalton Daubenspeck finished 5th. The Outlaws' 4 x 400 meter relay rounded out the day by scoring a 3rd place finish.

The Outlaws carried a big lead in to the final day thanks to a fantastic Day 1. The trio of Dean Howard, Patrick Kelly and Marcus Mercer finished 1-2-3 in the pole vault. O'Dell finished 2nd in the high jump, while Chris McCarley and Riley Julian placed 3rd and 5th respectively in the shot put.
