Woman pleads guilty to fatal hit-and-run

LAWTON, Okla._A woman involved in a deadly 2014 hit-and-run admitted to the crime.

Chelsea Webb pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter and leaving the scene of a fatality accident during Thursday's court appearance. February of last year, Webb hit and killed a soldier who was walking along Cache Road, just west of the Lawton city limits. When questioned, she said she thought she hit an animal.

Court documents show Webb had cocaine in her system and she tested above the legal limit for alcohol.

Webb's sentencing has been set for August 20. She faces at least four years in prison on the manslaughter charge, but could be sentenced to life.
