Police arrest homicide suspect

LAWTON, Okla._Police have arrested a suspect in connection to Ulric Adams death.

Alexandrake Haney was taken into custody Friday afternoon at his home on a charge of second-degree murder. According to the arrest warrant, the victim, Ulric Adams, was found near Haney's apartment at Southwest 2nd Street and Ferris Avenue.

The property manager told police that the two men had been involved in altercations previously. Police searched Haney's apartment the next day and found clothes with suspected bloodstains. DNA test results just came back on Tuesday, which confirmed the blood was that of the victim.

Investigators say Haney has been diagnosed as bipolar and schizophrenic, and on occasions, when he does not take his medication, he becomes violent.

He's expected to be formally charged next week.
