Chickasha woman runs over husband

CARNEGIE, Okla._A Chickasha man is dead after his wife ran over him early Sunday morning.

It all happened on State Highway 9, just west of Carnegie in Kiowa County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 23-year-old Whitney Gonzales had gotten into a verbal altercation with her husband, Pete. She was driving down Highway 9 trying to find to him when she hit him in the middle of the road. 

Troopers say Gonzales smelled of alcohol at the time. Her husband, Pete, was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials are investigating.
