Altus remains at Stage 3 water restriction

ALTUS, Okla._The city of Altus will remain at Stage 3 water restrictions following a vote at Tuesday night's City Council meeting.

In Stage 3, citizens can only water outside one day per week and wash vehicles at commercial car washes only. Car wash businesses must be closed on Mondays. Residents also cannot hose down sidewalks, driveways and streets or fill swimming pools.

The city plans to draft a better ordinance on water conservation and restrictions as a preventative measure. For a full and detailed list of restrictions, you can visit the city's website.
