Baird found guilty of first-degree murder

LAWTON, Okla._A jury has found David Baird guilty of first-degree murder.

The verdict was announced around four o'clock Thursday afternoon. Baird was convicted of killing his former wife Claudine Marroquin in September 2013.

A DNA expert and the Medical Examiner testified that Marroquin likely died of asphyxiation. A jury recommended a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
