I-44 tri-level ramps to close at night for painting

LAWTON, Okla._Road crews plan to close down several ramps during the overnight hours near Northwest 2nd Street and I-44 in Lawton for bridge painting.

Phase 1-The northbound 2nd Street on-ramp leading to eastbound I-44 will be closed from 8:00 p.m. Wednesday until 6:00 a.m. Thursday and again at 8:00 p.m. Thursday until 6:00 a.m. Friday. The on-ramp will be open during the daytime hours.

Phase 2-Starting Monday of next week, crews will close down the northbound 2nd Street ramp leading to westbound Cache Road. It will close Monday at 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. Tuesday. Access to eastbound I-44 from 2nd Street will be open.

Phase 3-The westbound I-44 off-ramp to 2nd Street will be closed from 8:00 p.m. Tuesday until 6:00 a.m. and again from 8:00 p.m. Wednesday until 6:00 a.m. Thursday.

Adjust your route accordingly.
