Authorities search for escaped inmate

MCALESTER, Okla._Authorities in northeastern Oklahoma are still on the lookout for an inmate who escaped from the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center in McAlester.

Authorities say Ronald Thomas has ties to Tulsa and may be headed there or Washington County. He was serving 20 years for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle when he walked away from the minimum security prison Monday. Authorities say he was last seen getting into a white pickup.

Thomas is a white male, 6'1”, weighs 275 pounds and has brown eyes, a scar on his right forearm and multiple tattoos.
