Police confirm man's identity, homicide investigation continues

LAWTON, Okla._The Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office, along with the Lawton Police Department, confirms the man whose body was found buried in a shed in Lawton last week is that of 28-year-old Trevor Boyer.

A spokesperson for the Medical Examiner's Office confirmed Boyer died from a stab wound to the chest, but whether his death was a homicide is pending further investigation. Police say Boyer recently moved to Lawton from Florida and previously spent time in Colorado.

Officers arrested Sigfredo Sisco Thursday after he admitted to burying Boyer's body inside a shed across the street from where the two men lived. Sisco told police Boyer was his boyfriend and that he stabbed himself during a fight between the two of them. Sisco told police he buried Boyer because he was scared.

Sigfredo is being held for unlawful removal of a body. Police are investigating the case as the city's third homicide.
