Woman claims she was sexually battered behind church

LAWTON, Okla._Police are looking for three men they believe sexually battered a woman after they tried to rob her behind a church in Lawton.

Police say it happened at Sullivan Village Church on Southeast 45th Street last Friday. According to the police report, a woman told officers she was cleaning the church that day. She took the trash out behind the church and three men approached her and demanded money. She didn't have any and says one of them, a man of mixed race carrying a kitchen knife, pushed her against her car and touched her inappropriately.

She told police a white man held a pistol close to her head. The third man, who is also white, watched and began making threats along with the man holding the gun.

The suspects ran off and jumped over the fence south of the church when someone pulled into the church parking lot.
