Marlow opens first splash pad

MARLOW, Okla._If you're looking for some relief from the heat, the City of Marlow opened its first splash pad.

A ribbon cutting ceremony took place at noon Thursday at Redbud Park in Marlow. Several community members, including the mayor and members of the Marlow Chamber of Commerce, came out for the big debut. The majority of the cost for the splash pad was paid for through grant money from the Oklahoma Department of Tourism.

Kids across the area took advantage of the cool water.

The pad is now officially open to the general public.
