City mourns Lawton pastor's death

LAWTON, Okla._Lawton police and a church community are mourning the loss of a church leader and police chaplain.

Police say Zoe Christian Center Pastor Sam Moyd, was found deceased inside the church late Friday evening. Investigators believe Moyd may have suffered a heart attack.

Moyd was an active member of the Lawton community and played a large role in the city's Stop the Violence movement. Lawton police say Moyd was one of five police chaplains who also served on the department's Peer Support Group. They say his loss will be felt throughout the community.
