1 arrested in Altus shooting investigation

ALTUS, Okla._Police arrested a man after responding to two separate reports of shots fired early Tuesday morning.

The first report came in at 1:00 a.m. from the Economy Inn on East Broadway. No injuries or damages were reported. The second incident happened just after 2:00 a.m. near the Ridgecrest Apartments on Springfield Drive.

Police arrested 24-year-old George Broadie after an officer patrolling the area spotted his vehicle driving away from the second location and pulled him over. Broadie was arrested on complaints of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

There is no word yet on if these are possibly related to the recent shootings in the Altus area.
