Escaped inmate caught in Tulsa

LAWTON, Okla._An escaped inmate from the Lawton Community Corrections Center was caught in Tulsa.

Dennis Ferguson Pyle, 21, went missing sometime between the head count at 11:00 p.m. Monday, July 13, and the midnight head count.

After escaping from the Lawton Community Corrections Center, he went to Tulsa where he was arrested at 10:38 a.m. Wednesday. He’s currently being held in the Tulsa County Jail on complaints of failure to stop at a stop sign, possession of drug paraphernalia, eluding police and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Pyle was convicted of second-degree burglary and trying to sell a stolen Peavey electric guitar and an Ibanez electric bass guitar in Tulsa County on May 12. He started his three-year sentence in Lawton on June 11.

His court date for the new charges is set for July 22.
