50 relocation letters returned to LPS

LAWTON, Okla._With the start of classes just around the corner, officials with Lawton Public Schools say they still need to get in contact with some parents whose children will be attending a new school in August.

Over the summer, LPS relocated students from four schools that were closed. And while letters went out and calls were made in the last week of June notifying parents of the changes, the district wasn't able to reach everyone.

"One issue is that we had about 50 letters that were sent back with return addresses,”  LPS Executive Director of Elementary Education Brenda Hatch said.

Hatch says if you are a parent of a child in one of the four schools that closed and have not been notified by mail or phone, you can contact student services at 355-2214 for details on where your child will be going to school.
