Suspicious man caught with stolen CDs

LAWTON, Okla._A Lawton man who police suspected was a bank robber is behind bars after he led an officer on a low-speed chase.

Police say they spotted Jeremie Carl Harry riding his bike in a suspicious manner just after the IBC Bank was robbed. When the officer tried to pull him over, Harry rode off, looking behind him with a fearful look. After a brief chase, police finally stopped Harry at Northwest 19th Street and Cache Road.

As he was being arrested for resisting a police officer, Harry began pleading with the officer not to open his backpack, saying he "had to do it" and that he "needed the money."

Police opened the backpack, thinking Harry was the bank robbery suspect, but instead found 21 music CDs stolen from Hastings. Harry said that he was homeless and needed the money, so he stole the CDs.

Harry was transported to the Lawton City Jail without incident.
