Pointer cleared as bank robbery suspect

WICHITA FALLS, Texas_Police in Wichita Falls say Dalon Pointer is longer being considered a suspect in the Fort Sill Nation Bank robbery.

Officers responded to a bank robbery at 10:09 a.m. Monday, July 6, at Fort Sill National Bank, located at 3512 Kemp in Wichita Falls. The suspect entered the bank and handed a note to the teller, demanding money. The suspect was inside the bank for approximately 46 seconds.

The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. He left on foot and headed towards the intersection of Kemp and Buchanan.

The suspect is described as a white male, early to mid-30s. He was wearing a plaid long sleeve shirt, black cap and has a black backpack.

Pointer was charged with leaving the scene of an injury accident that left Angel Salazar in serious condition. He is currently in the Comanche County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
