Cameron students present street art documentary

LAWTON, Okla._Students at Cameron University have spent the last eight weeks creating a documentary highlighting street art and how it’s viewed.

The documentary, “Street Art: More Than Graffiti,” features local artist David Mills of the Checkered Rose Tattoo shop, Tulsa artist Mark Lewis and other artists from around the country. The class traveled to Flagstaff, Arizona, Seattle, Washington, and Tulsa to interview these artists. Other interviews were done in Lawton or via Skype. The documentary covers the increasing influence of street art.

The documentary premieres Thursday, July 23, at 7:30 p.m. in the Cameron University Theatre. Admission is free and the class will be available for a question and answer session afterward. Everyone is welcome to attend.
