Arrested: Man admits to shooting while driving

LAWTON, Okla._Officers arrested a man after he fired his gun into the air in a northwest Lawton neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

Police say 23-year-old Nathan Rollins was helping a friend pick up some clothes from a house on Northwest Kingsbury Avenue when the friend got into a heated argument with the homeowner. They left the house when the homeowner threatened to get his gun. As they drove away, Rollins fired his own gun in the air.

Police say they later found and stopped Rollins Northwest Hoover Avenue and Williams Avenue. He told officers that he had a valid gun license, and they say he had two boxes of bullets in his cup holders. Rollins admitted to firing the gun, saying he did it because he had a little girl at home and didn't want to die.

He was arrested for discharging a weapon while driving.
