LAWTON, Okla._The City of Lawton's birthday is August 6, but the celebration begins Saturday morning and you're invited.

The Lawton Rangers will serve up an all-you-can-eat breakfast at the LO Ranch Arena, starting at 6:00 a.m., kicking off the city's 114th birthday. You'll get your fill of eggs, bacon, pancakes and more as the countdown to the city's birthday and the 77th annual Lawton Rangers Rodeo begins.

The rangers have held this breakfast for more than 70 years now, and Rangers president Delbert Warren says it's a joy to organize.

"We don't make any money off this thing, it's just a little fellowship, some friendship, getting together to kick off the rodeo. We'd really love to have to go buy some more food to serve the public," Warren said.

The meal is $5, but it is free for veterans.
