Lawton Rangers gear up for rodeo

LAWTON, Okla._The Lawton Rangers are gearing up for this week’s rodeo with a dress rehearsal Sunday.

Dozens of riders rode the patterns they will ride in the arena for the grand entry on Wednesday. They carried flags of sponsors and last year’s rodeo queen brought in the American flag. The rodeo will start on Wednesday night at 7:30. Lawton Rangers president Delbert Warren says the rodeo is fun for the whole family.

"If you have never seen a rodeo you need to come and see it this is good clean fun family entertainment that everybody will enjoy. It’s just a wonderful event, been here like I said for 77-years," said Warren

Wednesday night it will cost just $5 per-car to get into the rodeo. Events will run through Sunday August 9th.
