Day One of the Lawton Rangers Rodeo

It's here. The wait is over. The Lawton Rangers 77th Annual PRCA Rodeo is in full swing. Former world champions and area favorites work to showcase their skill and talent at L.O. Ranch Arena and day one did not disappoint.

And what better way to open things up than with a Fort Sill Artillery Flag Presentation.

1.) Let's start in bareback riding. Seth Hardwick, number three bareback rider in the world, taking on the horse OnTap and he takes this one the distance earning an 84 and a spot in first place.

2.) To saddle bronc now. Coburn Bradshaw, 20th saddle bronc rider in the world on horse Benefit. He goes the full time and earns himself a 77. Good enough to put him atop the leaderboard.

3.) Then Ryan Bestol on Night Latch. This horse not working him too hard. Bestol goes the distance to earn a 70, but that would only be good for second.

4.) Later, Joe Lufkin is a moving and a grooving on the horse Take Charge. He too completes the full eight seconds then some, registering a 74 and placing him second in the saddle bronc riding.

5.) Steer wrestling now, and check this out. Cole Edge out of Durant, Oklahoma. Get on the ground! 3.8 seconds is a tough time to beat placing him in first place. It would be a battle for second the rest of the way.

6.) But it would get close with Tom Duvall. He takes that one down in 4.6. Not too shabby for second place, moving to tie down roping.

7.) Trent Creager out of Stillwater gets out of the gate beautifully, and gets right down to business finishing in 9 seconds flat. That puts him in first.

8.) And finally we have team roping... And the matchup of Joel Bach and Jim Ross Cooper... Look at that... 4.9 seconds... Crazy enough that only places them second.
